“I love KLOTZ Cables. They help me to capture the full spectrum of sound for every instrument I record – whatever it is.”

bio

Keith Harris could be described as the DaVinci of today’s top hits and live act scene. The producer, songwriter and Grammy-winner made his name as the drummer with the Black Eyed Peas and Fergie, with a huge roster of hits credited to him – including “Meet Me Halfway” and “Imma Be” by the Black Eyed Peas, “It’s My Birthday” by Will.I.Am, “American Boy” by Estelle, “Feel Good” by Robin Thicke, “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop” by Usher, “Gang Bang” by Madonna, and “Be Okay” und “Let’s Rock” by Chrisette Michele.

Every name on this stellar list of platinum-selling acts has featured writing and production by Keith Harris.

At the age of ten, Harris would watch the drummer at gospel concerts in his local church in Chicago, laying the foundations for his future career. At high school his musical ambitions became more serious; he took piano and bass lessons, learnt to read music and played drums in the school’s big band.

From there he studied at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, graduating in music production and sound engineering. He made the most of the long car drives home to learn songs – an extremely useful skill when the Black Eyed Peas came calling, suddenly needing a drummer who could learn 15 songs in less than no time for their upcoming three-month tour…

In addition to his production and drumming careers, Keith is also the musical director for many of the acts named, and is in charge of staging their live shows.

His list of credits is extensive, spanning Michael Jackson, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Chris Brown, Pussycat Dolls, Earth Wind and Fire, Ricky Martin, John Legend and many more.
