Non-Divine
Hometown: Arnhem & Nijmegen, The Netherlands
Formed: 1999
Style: Insane Groove Rock Metal
Non-Divine’s music can be described as melodic rock/metal in the tradition of bands like Metallica, Nickelback and Megadeth, but with an own twist of grooves, harmonies and melodies.
Their first demo-CD ‘My Obsession’ opened a lot of doors, like participating the ‘Metal Grand Slam Tour 2001’, presented by Aardschok magazine. For seven weeks four Dutch bands toured The Netherlands and Belgium and called in at all bigger venues like Paradiso, Amsterdam.
They supported acts like Dio, Anthrax, Queensrÿche, Nevermore, W.A.S.P., Volbeat, Sabaton, After Forever and Murderdolls (with Slipknot members). In the year 2003 Non-Divine won the best band of Arnhem award and played on festivals like Appelpop and Huntenpop. Late 2005 Non-Divine became winner of the biggest award concerning solid music: the Aardschok’s Metal Bash competition. In October 2006 Non-Divine signed a two album deal with the Dutch label Rusty Cage Records. Their debutalbum Asylum 45, recorded at the Jacobhansenstudio's in Denmark, was successfully released in March 2007.
