All pre-made copper cables and cable systems undergo automatic computerized contact resistance testing before they leave our factory, to ensure long-life quality.
The mechanical pull-out forces of our crimped connections are monitored for every product line using appropriate testing equipment.
We have developed an array of tests for the highly sensitive field of fibre-optic cable production. A two-dimensional surface analysis is conducted using a video microscope with magnification of up to 400 times. The automatic fault identification sensor pinpoints any tiny scratches, grinding marks, traces of epoxy or impurities. Professional 3-dimensional reconstructions of the geometry of the cable end are produced for inspection using an interferometer. This device is used to measure the curvature of the ferrule, any imperfections in the mating of the fibres inside the connector, and the centering of the fibre.All parameters are inspected according to international standards and an automatic pass/fail result is delivered for the test piece. The optical attenuation of the finished cable is measured in line with IEC standards. This measurement result is a key factor in power loss budget analysis when the optical signal distribution of a system is calculated.
