Joe Perry (Aerosmith)
Joe Perry's guitar sound, as unique as his electrifying live performances, joins Steven Tyler's distinctive vocals as the twin influences that have shaped Aerosmith's development from its outset. As co-founder, lead guitar supremo, songwriter and co-producer, Joe Perry has been a key constant at the forefront of the supergroup's overwhelming global career. Aerosmith is among the greatest commercial successes on the US music scene, selling 150 million albums throughout its four-decade history, and is still an institution in the rock business today. The band was inducted into the Rock ’n' Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. Joe Perry ranks among the finest guitarists in the world.
Joe Perry has released a string of solo albums since 1979; his most recent, entitled simply 'Joe Perry', received rave reviews and 3.5 out of 5 stars from Rolling Stone Magazine. In 2007, Joe and his sons joined forces to found the band TAB. KLOTZ guitar cables have been part of Joe Perry's equipment for many years, underlining his conviction that only the best is good enough for his sound and his performance.
Aerosmith is once again embarking on a world tour in the fall of 2011, eagerly anticipated by fans around the globe. The first concert started on 22 October in South America (Lima, Peru) , where the group launched its first major tour way back in 1977. KLOTZ guitar, speaker and patch cables will naturally be part of the entourage. Aerosmith's world tour will also take in Japan and - hopefully some time in 2012 - Germany
